The dog is small but fierce; and he put up a good fight; but the deer was done with the constant barks and heckling remarks. Here's what happened next:

 Couple notes:

1. The dog's bark wasn't enough to stop a charging deer.
2. The deer was happy on the other side of the fence until the dog antagonized him.
3. The right height deer and/or dog fence matters to avoid wildlife conflicts with pets. It's best to use a 7.5' to 8' feet high deer fence that will stand up to deer. For dog fencing, choose a good height and material specific to your dog breed. Keep in-mind that coyotes won't jump over 6 feet high and bears will require electric fencing.
