Best Fence For Rabbit Control
Jan 15th 2020
Rabbits are the second most complained about wild animal among gardeners; and they can cause serious garden damage. Rabbits' teeth grow 3-5" inches annually, causing them discomfort. They turn to structures like fences to gnaw on to stop the pain. This action helps them easily reach vegetable gardens and taste carrots (their favorite) in the wintertime.
To end rabbit damage in gardens, growers should install a metal fence with PVC. Rabbits will chew through plastic fencing; and having PVC coating around a metal fence will add a secondary layer of protection from chew marks. A metal fence is not only chew resistant, but it is longer lasting than plastic fencing and reliable.
Installer tip: Trench the fence at least 6 inches into the ground to prevent burrowing from bunnies; or, skirt the fence at the bottom and stake down the fence.
